Alitzel + Matthew
Our Love Story
Alitzel and Matthew first met at Texas A&M University through mutual friends. They went to football games together and Alitzel joined Matthew's intramural softball team. Throughout the rest of the semester, they became good friends and would often study together with some friends and talk about puzzles or movies. In Fall of 2019, Alitzel was asked to go to Aggie Bonfire with a small group of friends. Matt was one of the friends that went and while they were at the bonfire, Matt bought Alitzel a funnel cake. This funnel cake would essentially be the beginning of something big.
As Christmas approached, Matthew asked Alitzel to a date at Santa’s Wonderland and hit it off. During Winter break they would often talk and text while being on family trips. Alitzel was in DisneyWorld in Orlando, FL while Matthew was in DisneyLand Anaheim, CA. They were at the “same” place, but on opposite sides of the country. Once the winter break was over, they would continue going on dates, watch movies together, have dinner together and play video games together. Alitzel would show Matthew her favorite movies like Romeo+Juliet (1996), Pride and Prejudice (2005) while Matt would cook her Salmon and Steak. After Alitzel met Matt's parents on January 26, 2020, and Matt finally asked her to be his girlfriend. Unfortunately, Covid struck in March 2020, but despite the challenges and distance, Alitzel & Matthew stayed united and found new ways to go on dates and spend time together. Their relationship continued throughout both of their college careers and post graduation.
On July 7, 2022 Matthew proposed to Alitzel in a Las Vegas surprise visit while she was there with her family. Alitzel & Matthew will be engaged 457 days before getting married on October 7th, 2023.

Ceremony + Reception
The Ceremony will be unplugged. We want everyone to enjoy the moment and be free of distractions. We ask that you refrain from using your phone and we will have time after the ceremony to take pictures with everyone. The ceremony will be at Marty Leonard Chapel. There is free parking available but please arrive early to be seated on time.
The Reception will be at The Gutierrez Residence in Nevada, TX.
For those traveling for the wedding, we recommend to stay the night at 2 seperate hotels.
We advise to stay at a hotel that is close to the chapel the night before the ceremony (Scroll down for more details).
Once the ceremony is over, there will be plenty of time to move into the second hotel, close to the reception (Scroll down for more details).

Dress Code + Attire
The Dress code and Attire will be outdoor formal. The following pictures are ideas on what to wear:
Please keep in mind to bring a light jacket/sweater in case of cool breezes later in the night.
For those wearing heels:
• Since the reception will be outdoors, please try to wear chunky heels or block heels.
• If you tend to be barefoot by the end of the night, please bring sandals or flats to avoid getting injured or stepping on natural stones.
We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing white or pale-colors.
